EQ Property Holdings was created with one goal in mind – to regenerate, revive and renovate buildings in the south of England. Working with vendors, investors, industry experts and professionals who have the same vision, we transform tired properties into much needed comfortable, efficient, affordable homes and workspaces.
No one wants to see abandoned derelict buildings, especially when the UK is so desperate for more homes. At EQ Property Holdings our purpose is to realise the value of existing buildings rather than destroy green-field sites. It’s a “win-win” for everyone.

Ian Ellison — Founder
Ian’s property development journey began running a kitchen design and installation business where the most satisfying designs were those that involved major restructuring of the kitchen area to optimise the space.
It was then a natural progression into buying property for renovation. Ian relished the opportunity to revitalise properties into quality living accommodation.
Having gained insight into the possibilities and challenges of property development, Ian invested in personal and professional development, training with recognised property experts.
Ian’s property development journey really gained momentum in 2010, building a portfolio of 46 tenants. This was achieved by securing the right partners and investors and was done alongside working in his original business.

2022 is the year of re-vitalising the team and using his hard-earned experience to pursue further ventures. Ian’s passion and skill is repurposing buildings, so he is looking at a wide range of future development opportunities. We are currently working on a commercial conversion in Poole to add two 3-bedroom flats

What geographical areas do you look at for development projects?
We are based in Southampton, Hampshire so typically we stay within approximately an hour’s travel radius. We look at opportunities in Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Berkshire and Surrey.
Why do you convert buildings rather than just knock down and rebuild?
We take into consideration the impact of our development on the local area. Our experience suggests that converting an existing building causes less disruption and is faster to complete. We recognise that industrial and commercial buildings often have history and character that is worth retaining, if possible.
If we have land or a building that we are looking to sell, can we contact you?
We would welcome your enquiry and would discuss the options for the property you own.
Are you open to taking on new team members?
We are committed to working with a variety of professionals who can help us deliver quality property developments. We would welcome enquiries from interested individuals.
Do you look at purchasing vacant plots of land?
We consider every development on its merits and this would include vacant plots of land. However, detailed discussions would follow before deciding to proceed, especially if no planning permission is in place.
Do you have spaces available for investment?
We work with a panel of private investors, providing an agreed return on their investment. We would welcome an enquiry if you are interested in investing in a project.
